Tai Ping and designer duo Ed Ng and Terence Ngan created a collection dedicated to the Greek cloud goddess Nephele
Paris, 16 January 2018 – The renowned carpet manufacturer Tai Ping in cooperation with the designer duo Ed Ng and Terence Ngan from AB Concept celebrates the premiere of its latest collection Nephele at the Paris Déco Off. The four couture carpets of Nephele, named after the Greek cloud goddess, represent different bird’s eye views down to the world.
St. Gallen, 8 January 2018 – Christian Fischbacher, the renowned Swiss textile design company, presented the collection novelties of 2018. The concept of holistic interior worlds, which Christian Fischbacher successfully established last year, will be continued in 2018 with a product premiere: for the first time modern non-woven wallpapers complete the portfolio of the supplier of the finest furnishing fabrics, carpets, bed linen and home accessories. For the new collections, Christian Fischbacher was inspired by Japanese flora and fauna and experimented with yarn blends and printing techniques.
Peiting, 13 December 2017 – The veneers of the internationally renowned manufactory Schotten & Hansen can be used for all the space in the room. The range of new veneers is modular and includes different sorting, processing and color shades, which can also be found in the manufacturer’s floor range. Haptics, texture and color are manufactured individually for the customers.
In two articles, the peculiarities of these two renowned companies are described. For the luxury manufacturer House of Tai Ping, some carpets are still handmade on old jacquard looms. Christian Fischbacher knows about the unpredictability of textiles and why not all tomatoes are the same.
Knoll International presented the collection novelties of Piero Lissoni in combination with iconic design classics at the Salone del Mobile 2017. The stand concept “This is Knoll”, inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona pavilion, was designed by the studio OMA. Designer Sabine Marcelis created “Architectural Glass Panels” especially for the presentation at the Salone, which acted as a striking room divider and impressive backdrop.
